Happy 250th Birthday, Philippine!

Yesterday, the Academy celebrated the 250th Anniversary of Philippine’s birth with a “First Headmistress’s Holiday.” Students were surprised with the fun festivities throughout the day.


Thank You Cards to Veterans

Mr. Wappelhorst, grandfather of Second Class student Elizabeth Sunderlage, will attend an Honor Flight for veterans to Washington, D.C. on Sept. 7. To show our school’s appreciation, Second and Eighth Class students wrote thank you cards for the veterans attending the Honor Flight.


Becoming a U.S. Citizen

Academy parent Zeynep McLeane became a U.S. citizen on Aug. 23 at the U.S. Federal Court in downtown St. Louis. Read on to hear Zeynep’s thoughts about the journey she took that led her to coming an American citizen. 


Introducing the Academy Saints Logo!

On Election Day in November 2018, Academy students, faculty and staff had the opportunity to vote on a new school mascot for our athletic program. After counting the ballots, it was determined that the Saints won—making our new school mascot the Academy of the Sacred Heart Saints!  


Welcome Back for Congé Reunion!

More than 100 guests turned out for a wonderful evening to celebrate Congé Reunion on June 8! Mass was followed by recognition of Milestone classes: ’44, ’49, ’59, ’64, ’69, ’74, ’79, ’94 and ’09.


WordMasters™ Perfect Score

Congratulations to Sixth Class student Samantha Lynch, who recently received a perfect score in the last of three meets in this year’s WordMasters Challenge™—a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 150,000 students annually.

Creative Writing Contest Finalists
