Summer Camp! Enjoy engaging programs and fun activities at the Academy. Open to children in Pre-Primary through Eighth Class, including non-ASH students.
Register for programs each week – choose one week or all! Programs run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily with arrival from 7:45-8 a.m. Aftercare is available until 4 p.m. for an additional $10/day.
Limited to 20 students.

Week 1: June 12-16 (arrival 7:45-8 a.m.)
Registration is $300/week, plus a $50 materials fee. There is a minimum enrollment of 10 students and maximum enrollment of 20 students. Aftercare is available for $10 a day if needed.

Bible Study – Incredible Me: One in a Minion
One of the greatest difficulties for kids in the world we live in is their identity. The activities will be based on the following: Psalm 139:14, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made!” Each Bible lesson focuses on a special aspect of what our identity becomes when we trust Jesus. Students will use Bibles to look up verses and have class discussions. They will also engage in unique games, crafts, and even Minion themed snacks!Teacher: Mrs. Reepmeyer

Let’s Dance
Who doesn’t love to boogie to their favorite songs? This summer, campers will have a chance to learn about and experience different types of dance, how to stretch, follow choreography, and express their creativity through movement. Whether a first-time dancer or an experienced pro, campers will have a blast dancing the summer away! (Campers will need to bring tennis shoes, socks, and a water bottle.)Teacher: Ms. Kimball

Outdoor Education
Lower School students will learn all about the great outdoors. We will be hands-on reading maps, using a compass, concepts of topography, water ecology, telling time using the sun, learning about local flora and fauna, animal tracking, survival and safety skills, shelter building and most importantly campfire songs.Teacher: Mrs. Masters

Shakin’ It Up with Shakespeare
A Middle School introduction to the greatest playwright in the English Language!- Featuring:
- Improvisation
- Life & times of “The Bard”
- Skits
- Design & create costumes
- Learn theatrical fencing parries (dramatic sword fighting)
- Fun art projects
- Impress friends quoting Shakespeare
- Create special effects
- Lighthearted production of Romeo & Juliet for friends/family

Bible Study – Superheros: You can be a hero for God!
This week’s theme takes Comic Heroes and relates them to even greater Bible heroes. Each hero had a different set of tools and abilities to fight against evil. God has given us tools and abilities to fight against evil too! Students will discover that God has chosen them and has a purpose and plan for their life. Students will engage in unique games, crafts, and superhero themed snacks. Always remember that in addition to all the armor of God; His greatest gift is that He is with us and fights for us!Teacher: Mrs. Reepmeyer

Summer Skills Lab
Students will work in their summer skills workbooks which focus on reading, writing, and math concepts. Some concepts they have already learned and some will be taught in the upcoming school year. Happy Campers
Lower School students will learn the science behind their own brain development and discover coping mechanisms when faced with stress and emotional triggers. We will learn skills to identify and better communicate our emotions with others. Students will experiment with a variety of methods from around the world to strengthen their emotional intelligence like meditation, journaling, art therapy, exercise, improv, team building games and more.Teacher: Mrs. Masters

Bible Study – Fishers of Men
Students will learn about Jonah, the 12 Disciples, and how Peter changed after the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Students will engage in fishing Bible games and crafts including making tackle boxes out of empty egg cartons. They will end the week by celebrating the birthday of the church by planning and implementing a small birthday party!Teacher: Mrs. Reepmeyer

ASH Olympics
Let the 2023 ASH Olympics commence! Students will begin the week by creating their own countries and flags, which will be celebrated in an opening ceremony. The students will then take part in fun individual and team competitions/challenges throughout the week, as well as learning about the history of the Olympics. The week will then end with a closing ceremony and celebration for the students!Teacher: Ms. Kimball

Board Gamers in Training
Board games are a great way to learn and have fun! In this course, each day students will learn how to play a different game. We will focus on mostly cooperative games and learn how to listen to each other and practice good sportsmanship. As they learn the games, students will also socialize with their fellow students, and use strategic thinking to play the game.Teacher: Ms. Furay

At first, everyone is happy, but they soon realize that holidays aren’t very special if they happen every day.
