Students take an Active Role in Their Learning
Grounded in the work of Carol Dweck, Ph.D., student-led parent teacher conferences support the development of a growth mindset, or the student’s love of learning and the development of resilience needed for “great accomplishment.” These conversations between students, parents and teachers focus on student strengths, areas of opportunity and goals.

Raising Awareness Through Art
Eighth Class students recently completed an Art Installation for the David Shepard Wildlife Foundation that was featured in St. Charles County Lifestyle Magazine. This annual global art contest encourages student collaboration, ideation, and creativity, while allowing students the opportunity to display concern for our planet’s environment and the diverse wildlife that inhabits it.
Robot Revolution
Congratulations to the Academy Robotics team who had their first competition this past Saturday. The judges noted that the team demonstrated great teamwork when setting up for their presentation and were very well prepared for their presentation. Great job, Robotics team!
Service in Action
Thank you to our Sixth Class students, teachers and Middle School principal, who braved the cold weather on Friday, Feb. 12 to serve at Heat-Up St. Louis at Hardees! Proceeds raised that morning supported Heat-Up St. Louis, an organization that helps people pay their heating bills and keep warm in the winter.
Second Class Word Surgeons
This week the Second Class classroom transformed into the Second Class OR! These word surgeons “scrubbed in” on contraction surgeries.
“Real World” Refugee Task
In Seventh Class Literature the students were tasked with creating a book trailer to persuade online viewers to purchase and read Alan Gratz’s story Refugee.

On Tuesday, our students gathered to celebrate the Feast of Mater Admirabilis. This is a very special day for all Sacred Heart Schools across the world.
Virtual Field Trip
Although our normal field trips cannot happen at this time, our teachers have come up with creative and innovative ways to bring field trips to school.
