Successful Conclusion to the 2019-2020 Academic Year

Dear Academy families,

We made it! Congratulations to all on the successful conclusion of the academic year. Students, parents and teachers rose to the challenge presented by the pandemic. Now we are ready to bring this year to an official close.

I wish to share with you the plans for the retrieval of student belongings from the school. As mentioned in an April communication, we will make available pick-up of belongings next week following Memorial Day. We have already started gathering student belongings from lockers and placing them into bags labeled with the student’s name. Primary and Lower School teachers will do the same on Tuesday as they take care of student desks and cubbies.

Given all the rain we have been experiencing, we will be coordinating the pick up and drop offs from the trophy room area of the gymnasium. Parents should plan to arrive on campus via the 4th Street entrance and drive toward the tent where they will be met by staff members. Please remain in your vehicle. Your child’s belongings will be delivered to your car. At the same time, we ask that you be prepared to return to the school your child’s computer and power cord, text books and the all-important Library Books that went home back in March. Once the exchange of these materials has occurred you will be invited to proceed down the road past the White Center and off campus via either Clark Street or 2nd Street.

The times for pick up are as follows:

Wednesday, May 27th
8:00am to 11:00am
3:00pm to 6:00pm

Thursday, May 28th
9:00am to 12:00pm

Thank you for all that you have done to support the students, teachers and the Academy itself. This is a most remarkable community, I am so very grateful for each kind action, supportive word and prayer offered along this journey to May. And in the great Sacred Heart tradition- I wish you a wonderful summer during which you rest, play and pray.
