Happy October!

Dear Academy families and friends,

What happens when a pioneer girl, a lawman and a cowboy show up in the Griesedieck Conference Room- well they enjoy a flapjack breakfast of course! Last Friday, the Fourth Class celebrated Heritage Day with quill writing, creating silhouettes, learning about life as a pioneer and a good dose of Mrs. Renken’s famous homemade root beer. My thanks to Mrs. Reepmeyer and Mrs. Wappelhorst for preparing our students for life on the frontier.

Seventh and Eighth class students have recently enjoyed the change in the weather with their Theology Teacher, Ms. Furay, as she invited them to consider ‘Where do I find God on this campus, in this moment?’ on a personal reflective walk. The Little Acorns and Pre-Primary students are found each day under the trees on the front terrace as Mrs. Van Vorn and Ms. Weiss engage in reading and book discussions. Likewise our soccer teams are out on the fields three days a week under the leadership of Mr. Brad Harris and a talented team of parent coaching volunteers. It is good to be outside and enjoying the fall season!

Happy October!
