Annual Fund
Each year, gifts to the Annual Fund enable us to maintain and enhance the overall quality of education offered at the Academy. The Annual Fund provides unrestricted operating support for the Academy’s budget by helping to fill the gap between the tuition charged and the actual cost to educate a child. Every gift makes an impact on the success of our Annual Fund campaign.
Some of the budgetary expenditures that are supplemented by the Annual Fund include:
- Faith based learning and liturgies
- Academic enrichment
- Program enhancements
- Educational Technology
- Student experiences
- Art and music
- Daily physical education
- Extra-curricular clubs & activities
- Athletic programs
- Tuition assistance
- Campus upkeep and beautification
- Faculty excellence
Parents, Board of Trustees, administration, faculty/staff, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends of the Academy are asked to support the Annual Fund each school year. Parent support, in particular, is often an important indicator for outside organizations considering a contribution or grants to the Academy. Every gift makes a difference to the success of our Annual Fund campaign.
By making your gift today, you are helping the Academy stay faithful to its mission and continue shaping tomorrow’s leaders. Every gift is important and makes an impact.

Endowment
Gifts directed to the Endowment Fund provide for the future of the Academy through prudent investment. The Finance and Investment Committee administers the use of income from this fund while the principal remains intact. (At a specific level of giving, donors to the Endowment Trust Fund attain membership in the Torchbearer Society.)
Endowment Scholarships
When restricting a gift to the Endowed Scholarship Fund, one is providing for future Academy students. As with the general Endowment Trust Fund, these monies are prudently invested but here the interest earned is given, in the form of scholarships, to current students in need of financial assistance. There are several named scholarships.
Jane Cannon Legacy of Love and Learning Endowed Scholarship
Jane Cannon was a beloved, longtime employee of the Academy of the Sacred Heart for more than 40 years. She served in many roles from teacher to Lower School Coordinator to various roles in the Advancement Department including directing Development, Hospitality and Alumni. Her ultimate gift was writing the Academy’s history: Two Hundred Years: A Legacy of Love and Learning for our Bicentennial in 2018. This endowed scholarship was established in Jane’s memory as a way to reflect the significance of her impact. It was created with a goal of supporting four students annually attending the Academy in St. Charles, MO, one for each decade of Jane’s devoted service once the full $200,000 endowed scholarship is secured.
