Annual Fund

Each year, gifts to Annual Fund enable us to maintain and enhance the overall quality of education offered at the Academy. The Annual Fund campaign provides unrestricted operating support for the Academy’s budget, and allows the school to move forward in a strategic fashion in accord with our current strategic plan.

Each school family is expected to participate in the Annual Fund. Parent support is often an important indicator for outside organizations considering a contribution to the Academy. Therefore, each and every gift makes a difference to the success of our Annual Fund campaign.

We are very grateful to all who donate to Annual Fund!

Gifts directed to the Endowment Fund provide for the future of the Academy through prudent investment. The Finance and Investment Committee administers the use of income from this fund while the principal remains intact. (At a specific level of giving, donors to the Endowment Trust Fund attain membership in the Torchbearer Society.)

Endowment Scholarships

When restricting a gift to the Endowed Scholarship Fund, one is providing for future Academy students. As with the general Endowment Trust Fund, these monies are prudently invested but here the interest earned is given, in the form of scholarships, to current students in need of financial assistance. There are several named scholarships.

Jane Cannon Legacy of Love and Learning Scholarship

Jane Cannon was a beloved, longtime employee of the Academy of the Sacred Heart for more than 40 years. She served in many roles from teacher to Lower School Coordinator to various roles in the Advancement Department including directing Development, Hospitality and Alumni. Her ultimate gift was writing the Academy’s history: Two Hundred Years: A Legacy of Love and Learning for our Bicentennial in 2018. This scholarship was established in Jane’s memory as a way to reflect the significance of her impact. It was created with a goal of supporting four students annually attending the Academy in St. Charles, MO, one for each decade of Jane’s devoted service once the full $200,000 endowed scholarship is secured.

Sister Anna Mae Marheineke Student Enrichment Fund

After the success of the Sister Anna Mae Marheineke Faculty Enrichment Fund, a, similar fund was created for our students. Monies are used for current year scholarships to assist them in an emergency with tuition and/or expenses that are Academy-related.

Sister Anna Mae Marheineke Faculty Enrichment Fund

Sister Anna Mae Marheineke was a beloved Religious of the Sacred Heart who graduated from the Academy and later taught English and worked in our library. At her request, this fund was established for disbursement to our current faculty and staff to assist them in their further educational pursuits.
