Two dozen pieces of artwork created by Academy students in Classes 1–8 will be part of the Archdiocesan Art Show Feb. 5 – 11 at Chesterfield Mall. The show will be displayed in the former Pottery Barn store near Dillard’s.


New Date for P and PP Parent Meeting

The Pre-Primary and Primary Parent Gathering originally scheduled for this evening, Jan. 12, has been rescheduled. It will take place on Thursday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m.


Mittens and Cocoa

January 6, 2017

Play Pals is a play group that meets periodically throughout the year, for children who are ready to begin Pre-Primary or Primary in the 2017–18 school year. Admissions Director Lisa Tebbe invites you and your child for fun and friendship at “Mittens and Cocoa” on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 9 a.m. Space is limited; RSVP to admissions@ash1818.org.

NEW! 2016 Ornament

2016-philippine-ornamentAfter a few years’ hiatus, the Cribbin Hall window ornaments have returned. The 2016 ornament depicts the eighth in a series of nine stained glass windows in Cribbin Hall library. Designed in the 1940s by liturgical artist Emil Frei, the windows tell the story of St. Philippine Duchesne’s life. The 2016 ornament/eighth window depicts foreign missions and the evangelization which began with Philippine’s departure from France. All of the Academy ornaments can be ordered online HERE or purchased in the Advancement Office for $20.


A Special Birthday for Sister Munch

mm1Happy Birthday to Sister Margaret Munch, Academy sacristan, Philippine Duchesne historian, tour guide and play director! She’s also the lunch monitor for the Fourth Class, who surprised her today with cake and flowers. Yesterday after school, ASH faculty and staff did the same. We love you, Sister Munch! May the year ahead be bright!

Cruzin Fusion Food Truck @ Taste of Christmas Boutique

NEW! There’ll be a food truck on site for the Taste of Christmas Boutique. Cruzin Fusion Food Truck will on on hand with delicious eats to satisfy any hunger! Their style is Asian Fusion and they will be serving dishes such as teriyaki chicken, deconstructed tuna, and three different tacos including spicy lobster. Look for them on the Clark Street side of campus, next to the loading dock. Then for dessert, head over to the cookie table for some of the Academy parents’ freshly baked cookies!


Sister Munch to Lead Tour of Old St. Ferdinand Shrine

Sister Margaret Munch, whose birthday is on St. Philippine Duchesne’s Feast Day, is known for her knowledge of the saint who founded our school. She will share much of it on Friday, Nov. 4, during a tour of Old St. Ferdinand in Florissant. It’s the first presentation in the 2016–2017 Philippine Duchesne Bicentennial Speakers Series sponsored by Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School’s Mums of Alums.
