STEM Parents Share Careers
The Eighth Class had a wonderful opportunity to imagine what it would be like to have a STEM career as part of their future. Four of their parents recently shared their life, career and passion for working in a STEM field with the students. Each presenter’s story showed how math, science and technology is a path to an amazing future.
First Communion
Congratulations to 17 of our Second Class students who made their First Holy Communion in the Shrine of St. Philippine Duchesne on Saturday, April 14.
D.A.R.E.
Our Fifth Class students are D.A.R.E. graduates! The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, taught by Officer Sternberg of the St. Charles City Police Department, culminated this morning with a graduation ceremony attended by Police Chief McKinley, Fifth Class parents, Mrs. Renken and Dr. Dempf.

In the Footsteps of Philippine
Eighteen of our faculty and staff members recently embarked on a two-day pilgrimage to Kansas to visit places of historical significance to St. Philippine Duchesne and the Society of the Sacred Heart.

This week we have been delighted to welcome Jasmine Huda, an Eighth Class exchange student from Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton, N.J. Jasmine is being hosted by Astrid Smith and her family.
Picture the Music
Five Academy students were among the finalists in this year’s Picture the Music competition sponsored by the Saint Louis Symphony Volunteer Association.

Yesterday we said farewell to the Chinese students who arrived nearly three weeks ago, a bit unsure of what to expect but with great enthusiasm.
