Celebrating Catholic Schools Week

Happy Catholic Schools Week!  What an exciting time as we are also celebrating nearly 200 years of both education in St. Charles and Catholic education in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, both of which began with our school.

This week students are wearing their red or white spirit team shirts over their uniforms. Each day is devoted to one of the Five Goals of Sacred Heart Education. On Monday we focused on Goal I: Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to a personal and active faith in God. A beautiful all-school prayer gathering led by the Sixth Class featured a reenactment of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat sending St. Philippine Duchesne across the seas to the New World to open schools and to make known the love of God. More special activities are planned to celebrate this week!
