Read about the changes being made to our campus this summer.
8/26/2015:
- Exterior lighting is completed for the sidewalks and parking lots.
 - All lighting is LED lighting.
 
Parking lots on the south side of campus are now open.
8/15/2015:
- Directional markings are planned.
 

8/11/2015:
- Work begun in the Regis Court (area in front of Regis building)
 - New sidewalk created from the Regis Court to the arcade entrance, to ensure the safety of students as they travel between the buildings (and NOT through vehicular traffic)
 - Creation of a new, sturdier canopy in front of Regis
 - Small outdoor stone amphitheater created in Regis Court
 - Decatur exit being widened
 - Most of the sod on the Shrine side of the campus has been laid.
 
7/24/2015:
- Campus lighting bases have been poured
 - Parking lots completed and striped
 - Additional sidewalks poured
 - New irrigation install started
 - Construction phase between Regis and main building has begun
 
Next week:
 
- Additional irrigation added
 - Landscaping will begin
 - Sidewalk in front of Trophy Room poured
 - Handrails installed
 - Tear down of gardens and canopy in front of Regis and Philippine House will begin
 
7/17/15:
Parking lots completed (but still need to be striped)- More sidewalks poured
 - Additional cafeteria drive and steps poured
 
What’s next:
- Complete pouring sidewalks on South side of campus.
 - Install handrails on new steps.
 - Stripe parking lots.
 - Continue work on parking lot lighting.
 - Irrigation install starts Monday with landscaping starting on July 27th.
 
7/10/15:
The weather has played havoc with our schedule the last two weeks. Completed:
- Fire hydrants installed
 - Steps and sidewalks to Shrine poured
 - Additional sidewalks poured
 - Entrance / exit to Clark completed (concrete)
 
  
Weather pending … next week:
- Complete the driveway that leads onto Fourth Street.
 - Complete the two west parking lots and connecting sidewalks.
 
6/26/15:
This week the two south parking lots and driveways were poured.- Tiered landscaping walls also begun
 - Electrical service installed for exterior campus lighting
 
What’s next:
- Grading, compaction and pouring concrete of the western portion of the grounds
 
6/19/2015:
Due to the weather, the only item that was completed this week was the tear-down of the Old Gym.
What’s next:
- Regrading of areas that were eroded from the rain
 - Electrical install of underground conduit for parking lot lights
 - Possible pouring of concrete, some sidewalks in front and by the Shrine
 
6/18/2015:
The removal of the Old Gym—place for recess, sports, Country Fair, the Haunted House, and countless other Academy events for the past 67 years— began at 7 a.m. this morning. It is quite a change!
6/12/2015:
Various trees have been removed; all will be replaced with a yet-to-be determined species.- South side asphalt roads and parking lots removed except for one parking lot that should be removed next week
 - New sanitary and storm water lines installed
 - Preliminary grading started
 - Grotto relocated
 
What’s next:
- Electric utility lines will be installed and the old gym will be removed.
