Endowed Scholarship Gifts — Opening Doors and Fueling Excellence
When a gift is designated to the Endowed Scholarship Fund, it creates lasting opportunities for both students and faculty. These funds are prudently invested for long-term growth, and the earnings are awarded annually to support:
- Student Scholarships — providing access to an Academy education for students with financial need.
- Faculty Scholarships/Professional Development — strengthening teaching excellence and supporting continued learning for faculty.
Your generosity doesn’t just make a difference today — it ensures future generations of students and educators can flourish. Several named scholarships already honor families and loved ones; your gift could help continue that legacy.
Jane Cannon Legacy of Love and Learning Endowed Scholarship
Jane Cannon served the Academy of the Sacred Heart for more than 40 years — as a teacher, Lower School Coordinator, and in Advancement, directing Development, Hospitality, and Alumni efforts. Her greatest gift was capturing the Academy’s story by authoring Two Hundred Years: A Legacy of Love and Learning for the Bicentennial in 2018.
This endowed scholarship honors Jane’s profound impact and her lifelong commitment to children and Sacred Heart education. When fully funded at $200,000, it will support four students each year - one for each decade of Jane’s devoted service.

Marcia Renken Endowment for Faculty Professional Development

The fund supports continued learning, advanced training, and professional development opportunities for faculty, ensuring that the Academy remains a place of excellence, inspiration, and lifelong learning.
Make a gift in honor of Marcia, or in honor/memory of a teacher who shaped your life.
Sister Anna Mae Marheineke Student Enrichment Fund
Inspired by the success of the faculty fund named in her honor, the Student Enrichment Fund was created to help students in moments of need. The fund provides current-year scholarships or emergency assistance for tuition or Academy-related expenses, ensuring that no student is held back by unforeseen circumstances.
Sister Anna Mae Marheineke Faculty Enrichment Fund
Sister Anna Mae Marheineke, RSCJ — an Academy graduate, beloved English teacher, and librarian — dedicated her life to Sacred Heart education. At her request, this fund supports current faculty and staff as they pursue advanced degrees, certifications, or professional growth opportunities.
Her legacy continues every time a teacher inspires, challenges, and nurtures the hearts and minds of our students.
