Miss Dwyer’s Third Class students loaded two vehicles with toys for Santa’s Helpers, Inc. “The spirit of giving is alive and well at the Academy,” said Barb Horkenbach, as she thanked students on behalf of the organization that serves the area’s under-resourced and seriously ill children and their families.
Goal 3 of Sacred Heart education calls us to “a social awareness which impels to action.” For more than 20 years, Academy students’ efforts have helped support Santa’s Helpers, Inc., a 100% volunteer-based non-profit.
We are grateful to the Academy families who helped make this year’s Toy Drive so successful. Many children will have a happy Christmas this year!
