2019 Chemin de Fer Auction

We traveled south to Cuba to enjoy the sights, sounds and flavors of Havana as we connected with friends and members of the Academy family on May 4 at our annual Chemin de Fer auction.

Rauch Memorial gymnasium was transformed into what a night in the streets of Havana, Cuba must be like, complete with a Cuban flag, palm trees, a cigar hut, and more.

Because of our generous donors, we exceeded our goal of $100,000 raised for this year’s Fund-a-Need, Academy Tuition Assistance!

Our deep gratitude to Chemin de Fer Chairs Jeff and Heather Locker and Co-Chairs Steve and Kim Willbrand for steering a pitch-perfect evening that successfully celebrated and supported the school. This year’s Honorary Chairs were Bill and Kelly Dulle, who have lovingly supported the Academy since their oldest daughter, Colleen ’09, began here in the Pre-Primary Class in 1999.

Sincere appreciation to Chemin 2019 sponsors, donors, committee chairs, volunteers and guests. Our Havana Nights Chemin de Fer was indeed a memorable one that we will long remember!

Special thanks to Doc Crotzer ’98 who produced a video for our Fund-a-Need, reminiscing about his experience as a student at the Academy and the impact it had on the future of his career in film editing and producing.
