It’s been an exciting time for Jarrett Schneider ’15, who received a perfect 36 on the ACT and was accepted to eight schools: Tulsa, Miami (OH), Dayton, Villanova, Boston College, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and Georgetown. On May 25 Jarrett will graduate from Saint Louis University High and will be heading to Georgetown in the fall to study linguistics.
“I really think that my Academy education prepared me to hit the ground running once I got to high school,” says Jarrett. “The organizational and time management skills I learned at the Academy helped me not feel overwhelmed as I balanced two varsity sports, academics, family life and friends, and will continue helping me in college and beyond.”
Last Saturday Jarrett helped clinch the 2019 Missouri Water Polo State Championship for SLUH. With 47 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Jarrett had the tying goal that pushed the game into overtime. The Junior Billikens won 6-5 over Parkway West, claiming their fifth consecutive water polo championship. In an interview with the St. Louis Post Dispatch, coach John Penilla said, “The moment wasn’t too big for him. He’s a senior and he’s the epitome of it.” In addition, Jarrett was the captain of the Team Class 1 Missouri State Championship Swimming team.
We are very proud of Jarrett and look forward to hearing what the future holds!
