Executive Functions Presentation

ChaseAs we look forward to the beginning of a new school year, we are pleased to announce that the Academy will be sponsoring two workshops on Executive Functions. Dr. Cheryl Chase is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice near Cleveland, Ohio. She specializes in the diagnostic and neuropsychological assessment of various conditions impacting children, adolescents, and young adults including ADHD, pervasive developmental disorders, learning disorders, and emotional concerns. Dr. Chase is also an accomplished speaker and adjunct instructor to several area colleges.

On Wednesday evening, August 13, 2014, Dr. Chase will offer a parent session from 7 – 8:30 p.m. to explain executive functions in clear, easy to understand terms, discuss how academics are impacted by executive dysfunction, and offer strategies to support a student with weak executive functioning. On Thursday, August 14, Dr. Chase will offer an in-service to Academy faculty and other educators from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Presentations will be made in Rauch Memorial.

If you have any questions about the presentation, please contact Mrs. Eagan or Mrs. Renken. This invitation is being extended to members of the Independent Schools of St. Louis (ISSL) and Archdiocese of St. Louis schools. Please RSVP to Mrs. Kirtley if you plan to attend.
