It was a heartwarming moment for our RSCJ when two ASH graduates were recognized in the 2016 “Stories of Our St. Louis Sisters” essay contest. Matilda “Tilly” Glascock, a sophomore at Cor Jesu (shown at right in photo), won for her essay about Sister Maureen Glavin. Jessica Skinker, a senior at Incarnate Word Academy, won for her essay about Sister Margaret Munch. Sister Glavin attended the awards ceremony at Incarnate Word, at which five of the winning essays were read aloud. Essays were judged by women religious.

In its fourth year, “Stories of Our St. Louis Sisters” is sponsored by the Incarnate Word Foundation and supported by the Catholic Education Office. It seeks to celebrate the contributions of women religious in the Archdiocese.

Congratulations to Tilly and Jessica! CLICK HERE to read their winning essays.
