Fourth Class Students act as
Santa's Helpers

A large percentage of our Fourth Class students, members of the Social Justice Committee, and several parents recently devoted several hours of after-school time to wrap packages and assemble candy bags for Santa's Helpers. Since 1966, the Santa's Helpers organization has worked year-round to ensure that children everywhere experience the magic of Christmas. Our Santa's helpers worked energetically and enthusiastically for several hours before concluding the evening with pizza, snacks and soda. Parents on hand commented on the large number of students involved, how happily they worked together, and felt it was a great lesson in doing for others.

Last year, Santa's Helpers delivered 16,000 gifts to over 1,700 children and their families in the
Metro St. Louis area. This dedicated group of volunteers starts the day after Christmas, collecting
donations and gifts for the following holiday season. To find out how you can help, call (314) 727-0186,
or write to: Santa's Helpers, 7832 Balson, University City, MO 63130.
