On the frosty morning of our February In-Service day, from 7–9 a.m., Social Justice students served as celebrity greeters for the annual Heat Up St. Louis project at the Hardee’s restaurant on Third Street. Heat Up St. Louis raises money to help the needy pay their heating bills. All of the money collected through the sales of Hardee's sausage and egg biscuits for the special price of $1 goes back into the community, because all administrative costs are underwritten by Hardee’s. Our students encouraged guests to purchase these biscuits and accepted cash donations. Our thanks to all who helped make the community a warmer place during these cold winter months.
