Fifth Class Students
"DARE to Resist"

After several weeks of classes with DARE Officer Hayes of the St. Charles Police Department, our Fifth Class students are the Academy's most recent graduates of the DARE program. Representatives of the Police Department and the Mayor's office, Sister Glavin, Mrs. Hopper and Fifth Class parents were in attendance on November 14 as Officer Hayes announced essay winners, graduates with honors and the citizenship award winner. Three students and their parents were chosen to read aloud the letters they had written to each other. In their letters, the children promised to remain drug-free, while their parents expressed their love and support for their children and encouraged them to make good choices in their lives. Our thanks to Officer Hayes and all who have supported the students in this important endeavor.
