The
Shrine was built in 1952. Originally a stand-alone building, it
was connected to the Academy by a school addition in 1961. The Shrine is used for school liturgies and is open
for tours and
private prayer throughout the school day.

St. Madeleine Sophie Barat
founded the Society of the Sacred Heart in France in 1800. She sent
her dear friend Philippine Duchesne to America in 1818. This
statue stands in the upstairs hall of the South Wing.
The White Center cafeteria is
comprised of upper and lower dining areas, a faculty lounge and
kitchen.
